Evening all, new fella here.

Just bought a '99 A6 2.7Bi-T, its got full Bose/Concert lardeeda's, but I can't find out how to set the 'turn-on' volume for it.

In my previous car, Golf T-GTI, I could set a specific volume for the radio to come on to - no matter how loud I had the volume when I switched it off last. But in this Audi, which is only 1 year older, I can't find where to do it - Anyone know?

Cheers

Neill

I'm not sure about the Concert settings, but on the Chorus and Symphony units you just press the menu button for at least two seconds and this will bring up the settings menu. Keep pressing menu until Max On Volume is displayed. You change the setting using the round adjuster knob.

I hope this works for your unit.

Evenings guys - I just found how to do it!!!!

My system is a Concert head and BOSE upgrade.

On mine you press the TP button (traffic report announcement thingy), keep the button pressed and then turn on the system (by pressing the big round button in the centre on my Concert). This then comes up with a 'TA' volume settings (twiddle the volume to desired level), press the TP button again and the display will then show you 'GALA', this is the volume sensitvity for speed (ie the volume will increase the faster you go) - again twiddle the volume to reach desired level, on mine its 0-5, 5 I presume being most active in its increasing of volume. Press the TP button again and it shows 'VOL' and THIS I believe is the setting for the 'turn-on' volume setting, so no matter how loud you had it last time, it'll only come-on at this desired level, again 0-5 the options, 5 I presume is loud as f*ck, so I got mine on 2 'cos I sometimes have my little girl in back - and I don't want Noddy come blasting out in the High Street!!.

Further clicks on the TP button take into RDS volume, Regional Radio Seek settings etc etc and other clunky stuff, but the mains are as I 've written.

Try it out - hope all your guys have got this feature, I mean my system is nothing special, just the normal Audi Concert/BOSE upgrade.
