mdwyer
Hi, I'm a new member of this site and have had my S3 for approx 7 months now and it's a great car,but i do have a few questions. !. it seems to not have as much grunt at low revs as my previous 90q is this due to the turbo and it's easy especially incorners /rounerbouts to be in the wrong gear the 90 sure was a lazy old girl. 2.On rounderbouts the front end easily runs wide in the wet even at moderate speeds ,is this down to tyres[225/40/18 P ZERO's or the semi 4 wheel drive set up,never happened in the old one. 3.finally got use to the clutch when will i get use to the rest of the package Thanks Merdock
Cupramax
Yep, PZero's are shite in the wet. I've found Goodyear Eagle F1's make a huge improvement on mine.
Mo-S3
Hi, the standard S3 suspension set up isnt really designed for tight manouvering unless you upgrade it to coilovers or similar. I have the H&R coilovers and they make a BIG difference
Gren
Agree with Cupramax went from PZeros to F1s and the grip on (wet or dry) roundabouts is far better. What you need to do is go in steady and plant it when turning. That'll bring the back end into play. Go in fast at a roundabout and I find you tend to run wide. Essentially you go in as FWD and stay that way. ESP will cut in and bring you back on line.
Dangerousbrother
Welcome Merdock - glad your enjoying your S3. Goodyear F1's are the way forward (wet or dry)

Gren
I'm 11k into mine and they're starting to show some wear but way off needing to be replaced. All 4 of my PZeros had to be replaced at 18k so I reckon they're very similar wear rates.
Dangerousbrother
Sorry Merdock don't know, they were on it when I bought the car...Bracknell tyres are by far the cheapest, mine were £88each fitted. think I've got their number if you need it..
