larryccf
don't know if any of you guys are old enough to remember this or if this was even practiced or popular in england given the difference in our cars back then but in the 30s and 40s (1940) the hot rodders would put a spark plug on each exhaust tip with the electrode in the pipe and a coil feeding it spark the idea was, when you backed off the gas (back then our carburetors were basically like toilets flushing) there was a gas rich mixture that was flowing thru the pipes and it would ignite at each gear shift given how lean our cars are running today, doubt it would work on ours though i have given some thought to a feed line feeding diesel fuel in (solenoid controlled) to put out white smoke for the inevitable a--hole that likes to ride on your tailgate
lionheart
So who would the blame fall on when you barbecue the vehicle (+ occupants) behind you at traffic lights?? Could it be argued that the vehicle behind was just TOO close??
BigMeanBob
Was watching PimpMyRide on MTV a couple of weeks back and they installed a custom flamer kit on some guys car. In the end, they actually had to remove it as it wasn't street legal. From what I remember they hooked up a fine feeding tube from the fuel line with some form of sparker to ignite it.... b0b
