Mattpau
Guys Quick question What are the pros and cons of buying either private, through a normal garage or main dealer??? I was thinking of going the main dealer route - but things are a lot cheaper else where - just wondered what the pros and cons are.... Im looking at a 02 car, would still need to be in warrenty so that I can extend it - how do the dealers do this - do they check the car over and then give a price.... Also if I dont go the main dealer route - what checks can be carried out on the car before hand - normall AA or RAC or can I get a BMW one??? Brabus
Look, you have more of a come-back if you buy from a proper BMW dealer. If something goes wrong with the car or you find a hidden fault (for example if someone has tampered with the mileage, ahem) you have more chance of getting your money back. Chairboy
Beware the cost of extending the warranty, i was told by Munich Legends this has recently gone up and is nearly a grand for an M3.
