Gash
HI all When travelling at 70/80mph, with all aircon turned off and windows shut i seem to be getting a lot of wind noise throught the bottom of the windscreen (dashboard). Is this a normallity or is something wrong? Gary
Munki
I've never heard of anything like that before. I suppose if there was a gap you get water in though.
Wobby
Hi Sounds really strange, could the noise be from a poor fitting door seal?
Gash
Hi The door seal seems to be fine and no water is getting in - it just seems quite noisy when on the motorway. every day to day driving there is no noise - very strange suppose i will have to live with it - cant afford a replacement windscreen fitting or turn the music up Cheers for the replies Gary
Wobby
Are your trays fitted ok underneath? I took my engine tray off until i got more of the fixings to hold it on, and the part it connects to seemed to make a lot of noise then started flapping about (bit like the wife! ) Had to take it off (the tray not the wife) I have some wind noise, mines coming from the drivers door seal, it must be worn. karlosthejackal
I get quite a bit of wind noise from the passenger door on my 1998 passat saloon when driving at 90mph+ but I think I just need to adjust the door catch receiver.
