M15ley
I'm looking at buying a 2002-52 plate M3 manual with 31k on the clock. The local dealer has confirmed that the engine recall work was completed earlier this year. Searching these forums has lead me to believe that the recall was issued much earlier than this. Could I expect big engine problems because the recall work was done this late? All comments / suggestions welcome.
CarMad
Am not an expert but as long as the problem that the fix was installed to correct didn't occur I would have thought it would be ok. Am sure other people will be able to clarify that.
Brabus
I would agree, just make sure ALL recall's have been made and you should be fine.
DaiEdwards
My 2002-52 manual has gone in for its 1st MOT today. Dealer tells me that during the replacement of the big end shells they spotted that the oil pump was about to fail. I guess my recall work has been done very late! Big engine problems avoided - just!
