RedRobin
Hi Barry....I'm planning to get a Milltek (Quad) Resonated Catback too (after I've got my car!!!!! Still in Sheerness!!!!), so I'll be most interested to hear what you have to say here about it. Cheers, Robin
Mook
Any Millek mod on a VW or Audi makes sense. If you read the manual, page 728 paragraph 3.1: "It is compulsory to buy a Milltek exhaust for your Volkswagen to improve the sound and performance of the car". No really. Check your manual... West Dorset Robin? I'm East Dorset. How West is West?
RedRobin
Hi MauveGecko (I've seen them in lots of colours but not mauve!).... As West of West Dorset as you can get....Bridport. Begging the question how East is East? I can't find page 728! I don't know if the Milltek Quads (Res Catback) I plan to get will sound different from the usual jet pair but the bhp increase is the same I'm told. It's a bit scary to learn that only +10bhp would increase my premium by £40 and my excess by £100. I'm getting full cover plus breakdown for under £500 so the Milltek option would increase my insurance by quite a fat percentage. That's without Abt body kit included. Still, if Herr Volkswagen instructs me on p728, then I am forced to get a Milltek....Whoopeeee!

Chins
Whats the difference between the resonated and the non resonated?
allanon_1980
got milltek to send them over as part of the deal resonated means theres no droning at constant motorway speeds whereas there is with the non resonated. resonated is slightly dearer though
Chins
Thanks. Wonder how bad the drone is- R32 like?
Mook
[ QUOTE ] Thanks. Wonder how bad the drone is- R32 like? [/ QUOTE ] The R32 Milltek gets rid of the 2K rpm drone completely, so even more reason to follow the instructions on page 723 of the manual Unless you fit the straight through centre section, in which case your neighbours come a beat you up when you rev it over 1K rpm

RedRobin
....Dorset/Devon - they are both beautiful parts of the UK to live in. I like the West Country after 25 years in Chelsea London. Got a friend living near Ferndown. I digress! I'll PM you soon.
