scooby_simon
Well.... Been a little white smoke for a few days after some new oil, was just thinking that maybe I put just a little too much in and it was burning off. 1, Went for a blat a few days ago with lots of woosh, woosh and a few bang bangs (but that is not that un-usual) and then the next morning when I started up there was loads of white smoke - a sign that Mr Turbo is going to turbo heaven. 2, Started up a couple of days later after a few days wout use and no turbo use (below 3K rpm it's doing nowt) and no/little white smoke 1+2 = probable Turbo on the way out. As for cost, I'll wait for Quimby's to phone me.
DanG
Sorry to hear about your turbo issue, I should imagine that wont be too cheap to fix. Let me know if you want me to have a look for parts over here, they could be considerably cheaper..... Quick question, do you have a vent to air dump valve? Are they worth adding for performance? or is it just for the sound?
JonnyB
have you fit another dump valve cause they give a little smoke off???

Bully3176
theres always a maissive debate on dvs when ever the subject is brought up, any tuner will tell you there is very little difference between a vta and a re circ dv. I have had both on my car and I choose to stick with the vta not for the noise but I fing it less laggy when you dump the clutch, its more responsive in my opinion and research! hope that helps? ps glad it wasnt the turbo or your head gasket mate! phewwww!
