Virtual120 Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 Re Golf GTI Mk3 16v (P) Hi I have a pipe thats not connected to anywhere and my mechanic has told me its a breather pipe. Ive been told by a couple of other people that this pipe MUST be connected to something. Its a thin black pipe located just below the sill under the bonnet (toward the back as you look at it - under where the wipers are) Does anyone know where it goes or are able to send a photo of their engine so I can see where it connects to. Mook Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 Given where you say it it, it is possibly the drain from the windscreen? It will be about 3 or 5mm in diameter. If it is an oil breather pipe, it should go into the pipe between the air filter and the intake manifold. HTH Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
