gazthecab
Hi guys and girls. I have just agreed to part ex my Picasso for an '02 PD 130 SE Estate, 60k with full VWSH. I am buying from Mitchell Skoda a 60k service incl cam belt MOT, and valet will be done. The car has heated seats (is this standard), cd multichanger, sunroof, reversing sensors, as the name implies this will be a working car. Just a quick note to say Hi. gazthecab
Did a google for volkswagen passat and found this site. Am I correct in thinking no Haynes manual is available at this time? Although the car is having a 60k service anything I need to know or check when I collect it next Tuesday. Rustynuts
Haynes manual is just about to be published apparently, so have a look on Haynes website for availability. Check the passenger side front footwell to see if the carpets are damp (apparently, it's a problem).
NunchukHamster
Has it had its MAF changed? You'll know why if you look through the forums! I swapped (please, no violence!) a Ford Mondeo for Passat Estate 1.8T Sport a couple of months ago, best car decision I've made in years.
gazthecab
Yes read about the MAF meter but dont know if its been changed, thanks for the heads up. I've gone from Vectra to Rover 75 to Picasso and now to Passat........should be interesting to compare.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, I know a lot of you think I hate the Passat but to set things straight, I hated MY PASSAT. I bought a dud, a lemon, a duffer. Overall the Passat is a great car. It's in a middle ground where it's not up-market but it's not a Ford, VX or Jap mobile (not that there is anything wrong with Ford or VX, well the Vectra isn't great, whatever. You get reasonable kit too on a B5.5 and it's roomy, most problems are small and fixable/avoidable too so enjoy your Passats my friends
