Sponge
How good are they with UK orders? Eg. with import duty?
NeilB
From what I've read they are pretty good at it. Gonna place my order tomorrow.
NeilScarrott
No problems here, always worth a reminder email and filling out the comments field. Autopia delivered my PC quickly and without problems.
johnss8
I've had a couple of orders from Autopia and so far never paid import duty, the one to watch is autogeek they really sting you

apreading
3 days later, no duty. I think they always do 15% discount via a code, but 20% is even better! I have not been that impressed with the Sonus DAS pads, so would recommend the SFX ones anyway. As s8346 says Autogeek is the complete opposite. The courier method they use seems to always get stiffed for duty, and £13.50 handling charge from parcel force which is often more than the customs charge! LeadFoot
Any chance someone could confirm for me that this 20% discount is for the KIT and not just the PC? I've had a browse through the Autopia site and the only reference I can find to a 20% discount is for the PC on it's own. Or maybe the offer has been and gone and I missed the boat! Thanks. FiveStar
[ QUOTE ] never paid any import duty with autopia... They mark down the price on the customs label. [/ QUOTE ] Guys, you really shouldn't be talking so openly about Autopia and the import duty situation. We wouldn't want it to come to an end now would we? It's very kind of them to do what they do for us on the customs form, but it is illegal and should really be kept quiet. I'd advise any of the moderators to delete some of the posts in this thread. FiveStar
And yes, the SFX code will still get you 20% off the PC/SFX pad kit.
LeadFoot
Fivestar I fired an email off to Autopia just after I'd posed my original question about the discount on TSN. I've since had a reply from David Bynon confirming what the chaps have already said. The 20% discount offer on the SFX polishing kit has indeed finished....shame

DuncS3
Used the three stage Meguiars today - no way I can do that again without a machine! So is the PC the best to get? I always refrained from machines as I had heard stories about 'burning' the paint etc. So the PC is safe to use and recommended highly? NeilB
With the PC it's virtually impossible to ruin your paint work as it's a dual orbitor so you wont burn or get buffer marks, it's only rotary's like the Matika can really damage your paint work when using a machine.
