Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] Aberdeen shifted 2 in a week at that price. [/ QUOTE ] Agree - There was an S-Line Avant at my dealers a few weeks back for £21,995. It was Quattro but quite a low spec IMO. It didn't last a week! So I'm sure they got pretty close to the window price. BUB
SJC1975
There is a 54 plate non-quattro 1.8 s line saloon at my local dealer for £17,995! In red though. Not quite a Quattro Avant but a big difference in price

brn7y
The non Quattro's sell for less, as they cost less to start with.
allen
i would say thats worth about £14000 to £16000 max on a trade in
brn7y
If you accept the above as a trade in then you would be stupid, the car is worth much more. Speak to Audi even they don't know why the Glasses Guide is so low!
allen
16000 is the trade value of my car, any more then it will be taken of the px price of the car your buying, of course its worth more on a private or forecourt sale, what else could audi say about the g/guide price? DeanW
Allen, you're missing one vital point - Glasses Guide is in fact only a guide! It's by no means gospel and just because Glasses say a car is worth a certain price doesn't mean that is it's exact valuation. There are loads of factors that affect a vehicles value plus the other main guide used in the motor trade (CAP) may value a car very differently, and let's not forget at the end of the day a car is only worth what someone's willing to pay for it
allen
that someone is two different dealers working from a glasses guide and that is all they are offering, yes i wish it was worth more but the fact is that its hard to sell a car over £10000 private and people like us with cars over that are i think stuck with dealers
DeanW
I agree it is harder to sell more expensive cars privately but that's because it's a more select market. For example there are going to be more people wanting to buy a year old Ford Focus than there is an Audi A4 Quattro - it's just a case of finding the right man for the car and obviously the more expensive you go the harder it is to find that 'right man' Hence the reason a lot of people will take a low trade in at a dealers, to save the hassle of advertising and selling privately. Personally I've never traded a car in - why should I let someone else take good profit when I can sell it myself for a similar price? If brn7y advertises his car for long enough I'm sure he'll get very close to his asking price
wooosh
Really interested in this car but unfortunatley I am selling my Evo V111 at the moment. http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91423 I have been looking at the diesels at specialist cars in Aberdeen but their used cars are extortionate although they have given me a decent trade in quote. If I get the car sold soon I will let you know. I am originally from "The Heed" but moved through to Aberdeen 5 years ago. In the meantime can you please let me know some further details on the car, any extras for example, leather etc? Let me know via PM please.
