gino128
[ QUOTE ] Hey Gino, I don't think you'd get 25mpg from the RRover. You should from any saloon based exec diesel though. A6/A8/530d/730d/S320CDi/E320CDi/Phaeton TDi [/ QUOTE ] You're not wrong - it is borderline 25mpg, although urban is 19mpg!! I guess servicing would be a killer too wouldn't it? gino128
[ QUOTE ] gino, I think you'd struggle to get 25mpg from the Rangey - it's the same 3.0d unit as you get in the 3/5/7 series, only the Rangey's twice as heavy. Oh yeah - 0-60 in 15 secs too. Unless you're keen to venture beyond the BMW badge, I doubt you'll find anything to match a 530d or 730d (or a 330d Touring?) and you'll get a better deal on the 3 you've got (if you're PXing). I'd say the 7 if you like BIG cars, the 5 if you want a better handling/performance package. [/ QUOTE ] I think you hit the nail on the head there - other than making a huge performance or economy sacrifice, the answer is in the blue and white circle somewhere...and with the 7-series taking such a pounding it seems so much car for such "little" money and at £30k with only 28k miles on, it has an awful lot of bits for the price! The rear end of the M Coupe really is a sight to behold, it's massively wide and menacing looking, and IMO the rear 3/4 view of the M Coupe is one of the coolest sections of any car, period! Drive one, and you will be blown away!

gino128
At least it is a tangible dream! I was reading the other day about a guy who wanted a Maserati 3200Gt convertible by the time he was 30! (he was 29 at the time, working in IT). He bought a Chipsaway franchise and 2 years later is raking it in sufficiently to buy himself a second hand one in CASH!!! No need to dream..just good management I think!!
