CarMad
Erm... Wow. I could do that no problem in my dreams. Sad thing is I can see some of the places he lost the time. Its a fantastic circuit but hellishly difficult to master because if you get a corner / section wrong its 5/10 minutes before you can have a try again. Practice.. practice practice, if only I had the time.

mixit
That's quick, but anyone who reads EVO on a regular basis will know that the record lap sent in to them via email was 4:48:571 in a Minolta Toyota 88C-V ! My own personal best is 5:36:55 in an Audi R8. I think we should start a picture posting session with the best lap times... Anyone up for it? neo283
Haven't got GT4 - is that a G-Force meter below the speedo & rev counter? Surely this alone is reason to buy the game!
CarMad
Nope its just a sign of the steering effort thats currently being used. The red and while either side of the dials are also how much brake / accelerator is being used.

DHA
Yeah thought it was G too. Did anyone try the latest evo challenge?
malagus
the bottom is G-force, but it doesn't go above 2g, so isnt that useful. ve got under7mins in the 88c-v racecar, but when you lose time in one sector, its really irritating. You can never get a perfect lap, its just too long.
DHA
Is above 2G possible in a car?
DHA
It says here that indycars generate upto 5G on speedways. Interestingly the space shuttle only generates 3G on lift off.
malagus
HH-frentzen once pulled 6.95gs under braking, though thats not lateral.
Thorburn
Read an article with Williams in F1 Racing or some similar magazine and they reckoned if F1 cars had continued along mid-70's style rules then by now a ground effect, 6 wheel (2 front, 4 rear) car would be able to pull at least 10g under braking
CarMad
[ QUOTE ] Nah Carmad, he's right... [/ QUOTE ] Doh.. should have looked at the video again your right. On the subject of G.. The EVO M3 Project car recorded 1.31g on the ring and 1.58G around the carousel.
BURTON
Iam not a fan of it since my save went walkies!! Have not played GT4 since and now the lot is up for grabs.. Also is that car control done via Steering wheel and pedals?

Thorburn
Apparently even with current F1 cars they have investigated fighter pilot style 'g-suits' to help them cope.
