neo283
Some annoying nothing better to do scallie has made off with the remaining 2 of my valve caps. Does my head in, so I'm gonna invest in some "anti-theft" jobbers. Do these actually work? Ebay is full of options, has anyone gone for these? Ebay Link Also thinking about setting up a gun turret and waiting for the annoying brat!
Rustynuts
[ QUOTE ] Specially Designed to Keep the Air in & Unwanted Thieves Out ! [/ QUOTE ] I didn't think air was a nickable sort of item. Seriously, for a few quid, I'd buy them, 'cept I have a VW not an Audi.
grahamb
Just put some black ones on, and coat them with underseal or something else that doesn't cure. Maybe some black grease.
Rustynuts
Round our way, if you did that, they'd wipe 'em clean and deposit the residue all over your car paintwork.
UBM
I have some you do up with a little spanner - pig to get off without the spanner!
colinc
Had a set of those on my allroad, took them off to use on the cab but they had definitely lost their sparkle, they seem very susceptible to brake dust which seems to get really impregnated in the finish. Having said that, they look good when clean and I'll probably look for a different type next time.

neo283
Does my head in. Thing is, I reckon I know the little nob jockey that has them. Bet he's got a little collection in his bedroom! Reckon I'll give em a try. Can't go wrong for £4. Perhaps I should give them a fine coating of chilli sauce and hope he picks his nose..... or somewhewre else.

Sponge
I found one of mine missing earlier. Although, why someone would want to steal an oem black plastic one, I don't know. So I nicked one off the car parked next to me.
Tomk
i just use cheap black plastic ones, the anti theft ones - they could make some real damage 'tryign'to get them off... dont want the valves fked on my car...
Hudson
I have a set of Richbrook anti theft types, My A6 (Volcano Black) looks v nice with them on. They are a mix of chrome and black, and come with a sort of key thingy that you need to put them on and take them off. I was advised to put some copper grease on the thread before putting them on (so they do not seize) and up to now they have lasted a lot longer than other i have had nicked.
