UBM
Hi Guys, Looking for some help from the electronically minded. I had the rear park assist (acoustic) fitted by the stealers aftermarket. The beeper is not as good as on the cab - which had different tones and rate. I recently bought a whole new kit off e-bay for a song, including a new beeper and a display screen as well. Can you simply connect the new beeper and display screen to the old buzzer (Which they unwisely located behind the passenger seat in the footwell ) in parallel, so both buzers and the display screen works. Or will I have to use the new control box and connect the existing four sensors to that?
Sparky
The control box will be the part causing the different tones/sounds so I don't think you could match them up. You might be able to use the existing sensors, but how is the screen driven? Do you think the "control" electronics are in the screen, or another box? Got a pic of it? UBM
Better still - linky Reverse Park Assist I was planning on at worst, connecting the four old sensors in the bumper to the new control box, beeper and screen. I can't be arsed replacing the whole kit.....although I see an e-bay business opportunity arising!
lottiefox
I have no idea how to help. I just look over my shoulder and cross my fingers.
