Ari
Quick question for you Tom Tom users. How quick and easy is it to fit and remove the mounting bracket? I understand the unit clips in and out of the bracket fairly easily, but I've heard a lot recently about cars getting broken into by scum searching for GPS navigators just on sight of the mounting bracket in the car (figuring that if the bracket is there, chances are the unit is in the glovebox or something). I'm a bit paranoid about break ins, particularly with my car being a soft top. So if I had a Tom Tom Go, I'd like to be able to quickly remove all trace even if just stopping in a motorway services for 10 mins, bracket included... Mollox
Ari, The whole process takes less than 20 seconds. If that. There's a button on the front of the Tom Tom unit. Press that and it falls off the cradle into your hand. Pop it in the bag provided then reach to the back of the suction mount, flip the lever then have a little pull on the tab on the suction plastic itself and the whole arm detaches itself from the windscreen. Voila! You have your tomtom in one hand and your cradle in the other. You're good to go!
