Mook
The Mk4 R32 DSG has, so you would have to assume, no, insist that the Mk5 has
paulhaines
MK V R32 & GTI has Launch control - but VW are not advertising the fact - due to teh ammount of stress it puts on the system - so I am reliably informed... My A3 DSG died without launch control so it is fragile!
Smudge
Mayeb they should adopt BMW's approach with SMG, more then three executions (I think thats the right number) and your gearbox & clutch aren't covered.

McGee
Do you really need it? If its standard with DSG box then OK but if its an extra it will probably cost 4-500 quid extra. It would probably be a bit of a laugh to start with but after a few goes would you use it enough to warrant the extra cash. Why not save the money and buy a better looking exhaust or something. robin09
McGee, I think its a case of courses, and horses liking different ones. Or something along those lines.
paulhaines
Soulboy, I wouldn't - if you spend most of your time in traffic then DSG is great - but I thnk you loose out on part the whole driving experience with the DSG box. You can't beat getting the felling of a well executed change when you are pushing on - and there is allways the dark are of heal and toe changes!
