Milo
2 years, 7 months and 21 days after picking up my A4, I've just kerbed one of the wheels I would like to be able to say it was because someone pulled out on me or I swerved to avoid a squirrel or a llama but sadly not. It was mis-judging a very tight single lane track in the dark and p1ssing rain while taking a shortcut after dropping Mrs Milo off in Newcastle (why didn't she get a taxi ). I thought at first I'd got away with it as it sounded like it was just the tyre wall rubbing but when I got home, I discovered I hadn't been so lucky. It's not deep, just messy and scuffed (by Chav's standards it'll probably polish out ). Ah well, these things happen I suppose. I've just rang my brother to get the number of the firm he used to refurb his Cooper S alloys (which were a lot worse than mine is) at a cost of £35/wheel so at least it's not going to be an expensive mistake. However it's not the cost, it's the "arrrrrgggggghhhh, you fecking idiot!" feeling you get I'll give it a clean in the morning and post a pic to satisfy the voyeur in us all Now, where's the beer? Milo
[ QUOTE ] £35 per corner sounds very reasonable to me [/ QUOTE ] It sounded too cheap to me but having seen what an amazing job they did on my brother's Cooper S alloys, it appears they are just cheap Genti - don't worry, I'll make sure it's fixed properly
Durrsaku
Ah yes thats right, wheel has had paint, that would be £1000 off.

P_G
£35 per wheel very cheap, would like to see the job they do on it so pics please pre and post. I'm paying £47 per wheel and having to go to filthland for the privilege.
Milo
This is in North Shields so on the right side of the river. They 'should' have no bother doing mine. My brother's had chunks out of his, one of them on 75% of the circumference and you cannot see any sign of a repair no matter how hard you look. P_G
When are you putting the wheel in for repair? I'd be interested to see the results as I'm on holiday w/c 5/12 and have two in mahor need of surgery.

Milo
They came recommended to my brother as a "it looks like a sh1thole but they do a cracking job" kind of place. He was a bit nervous as he had to leave his car there as they had 2 wheels off (drop off at 08:30, pick up at 17:00). He was expecting it to have been nicked or ragged when he went back for it but they hadn't even sat in it he reckoned never mind driven it. The quality of the job was top class so hopefully, mine should be no bother for them
Milo
Well, it's not as bad as I first thought. After cleaning it up and having a good look in the light, it is a light scrape, no gouges or chunks missing. I'll still get it repaired though as it will bug me every time I look at it
