Im thinking of going for this spec of SLINE SP ED.

2.0TQ S Line Sp Ed

Metallic Paint

Parking Sensors Rear

Heated Front Seats

Front Arm Rest

Int Light Pack

5 arm design Alloy.

Debating whether to go for the light pack or the arm rest or just get both. Am used to the arm rest in my golf, so not sure if i will miss not having it.

Best price ive found so far is via autoebid.com, but not sure where the dealer is based. Might be a problem since i stay up near glasgow.

Tried playing dealers off against the price, glasgow audi would only offer £1500 discount, Stirling/Dundee Audi havent returned my call when I asked for a quote.

If anyone can suggest a reasonable part exchange value from glasses for my current car, id be grateful.

Car is a VW Golf GT TDI 115bhp 6 speed.

Registered Nov 2000, on a X Plate.

Current mileage is 85k

Factory options, pearl paint, climatronic, armrest

Extras ive added(dunno if these count):- Lowering springs, Bilstein Shocks, 18" RS6 Alloys, Full Caractere bodykit.

Tinted windows.

And i bought it as an Import. Not sure if this marks the value down further in the motor trade.

Thanks.

As a guide you could always try Glass's website for a price for your car - the only problem is that the price quoted is 'todays' value...not the value in March say. crazy.gif

IMO, you should consider selling your car privately and negotiating a price for the Sp-Ed without trade-in.

I've ordered my Sp-Ed from Specialist Cars, Aberdeen and (v. surprisingly) I got quite a good discount off 169144-ok.gif

Yep, I negotiated the price on the Special Edition before I even brought up the subject of a trade-in on my existing A4.

The dealer gave me a reasonable price based on it's value in 3 months time. Undoubtedly, I could get a better price selling my car privately but, frankly, I could do without the hassle of trying to do it and risking dodgy cheques/cash/drafts and umpteen phone calls from muppets offering "guaranteed buyers" for a small fee. Also don't have to deal with any buyer if the engine drops out half a mile down the road. This way I have no worries, I know that on the day the new one arrives, I just hand over the keys of the old one.

I wasn't even sure I was going to go the trade-in route but the dealer seemed to want to do whatever was required to do secure the deal.

Cheers

Matthew
