FuntimeFrankie
I mentioned on here some time back how my washer jets are lacking in power somewhat. Could someone please tell me where is the motor located that forces the water through the jets, as I think this is the possible cause, and how easy is it to change? SneakyMcC
The motors are normally connected to the washer bottle. I assume its the same in the case of the 8? It could be different cause of the amount of water needed for the h/light wash, but you must be able to follow the hose from the bottle. Thats if you can get to the bottle of course.... It does seem to be buried
bugboy
Have you checked that the tube that carries the water is connected properly? Look (under the bonnet) just under the drivers side wiper and you should find a tube with a connection in it. Mine is always coming undone or loose and therefor the water either stops or is very weak by the time it gets the the windscreen. Just an idea!! crasher
Same here. Mine pop at least once a month. I've considered getting some small jubilee clips to keep them in place. Bloody pain in the ***e if you ask me

bugboy
Just take it to your local Audi garage - should only cost you couple of hundred quid to fix!! Hee hee!! There is sometimes a person on Ebay selling off A8 parts which go cheap - might be worth a go if you need to replace anything!? Good Luck!! msey
I take it that you have tried to clear out the washers holes with a Pin. If you live in a hard water area then the jets can get coated with salts from the water and this then constricts the jets. To check if its the jets or pump. Remove the plastic pipe feeding one of the jets and then run the pump. If water flowing freely then it is the jets and not the pump. If not then Pump. If this is the case then you can go to the stealer and order new ones. These are heated normally. Takes about 10 minutes to change with a small flat blade and a pair of long nose plyers. Then about 10 minutes adjusting the jets to suit. Cost for the Jets is about £8 each. Not bad. Hope that this is of some help.
login
I had this every week. Then put some small cable ties around them and never had a problem since.
