Mabada
Hi guys, First post! Picked up my 53 plate 5Dr R32 in Deep Blue Pearl last Saturday and have not stopped grinning! Can't get enough of the noise it makes! Great deal, too, from Blade VW Gloucester. I came to it from an S2000 - great car now sadly gone - and I'm pleasantly surprised how special the R feels after the S. One thing - the R32 is clearly a rare beast. Does anyone know how many MkIV's are out there? The original EVO roadtest mentions the figure of 700 - anyone know better? Cheers all, Dave B. Mabada
Thanks for the details - it's rare to see another and with just 2391 in the UK I can see why! Good to see DBP is the most popular!

N3WOB
I've still only seen 1 parked up, and would probably have missed it had I not been curb crawling. Whereas my drive down to Devon last Friday afternoon, I saw 1 DBP on the A41 heading from Bicester to Aylesbury (didn't wave back). Another DBP eastbound on the M4 at J15 and then a slow blackie eastbound around J17.

And you also need to send Soulboy that £10 you promised him. Oatz
[ QUOTE ] I think ive now seen the same amount of MKV Rs on the road that i have MKIVs. [/ QUOTE ] I've now seen 3 MKV's on my way to work but I did unintentionally park in between two MKIV's on Sunday morning without realising it... Both were black and hadn't exactly been looked after (one had an obliterated wing mirror and the other had square wheels (badly curbed) I have seen quite a few MKIV's around town since they first came out (around 12) but then again i did pass two Maybachs and an SLR on the way home the other night

RossG
I can't work out if you and Smudge really really ahte each other or if you are actually brothers or something But Mook, I agree on two fronts: 5 days of R32 ownership has led me to agree that DBP really really is the fastest colour And, Smudge's alloys are in tip top knick, which is good seeing as he's selling his beast. He's going to ban me form here now eh? Oh sorry Smudge, forgot, you did that in my first post on Saturday Oh, and I like pink frilly knickers, like these ones: which I tend to wear at weekends. Incidentally, at the weekends I like to dress up as a woman and be called Janet. Just in case you wondered.

Oh, and Ross, Mook & I aren't related, we just seem to have a similarly warped sense of humour. Nice knickers btw.

Mook
[ QUOTE ] I can't work out if you and Smudge really really ahte each other or if you are actually brothers or something [/ QUOTE ] Well Janet (today's Saturday isn't it?), we used to be related via a long lost uncle 4,783 times removed in outer Mogolia (also known as Germanicus Automobilus Drivingus Cavemanus Maximus), but I decided I wanted to break the long standing family tie, which is why I stayed with blue cars. That's the real reason why Smudge ended up being absent from Tyresmoke for so long - he's not really buying a house, he's getting over the fact that he made the wrong colour decision, hence the happy pills. But don't worry, we really, really hate each other as well... And XLR8 (a.k.a. Ross as well, but not Janet at the weekend) is really a good person deep down. He's just mislead. [/ QUOTE ] Red [/ QUOTE ] FFS, I'm not a dog Watch it Ross you newbie, or your card will be marked too [/ QUOTE ] I think if you were an ugly four-legged canine, that it would be misled, not mislead, Ross, old boy. (That's addressed Ross X, not Ross G, who I would have referred to as Ross G, or Janet, had I been referring to Ross G, which I wasn't). Not that I'm saying you're ugly. Or four-legged. Well, maybe... OK, and RossG, you'll now have to change your name to Janet, Felicity, Britney, Chardonnay or whatever, because this is now all too confusing...
