bugboy
Anyone noticed the very few people wave at each other in their New Beetles these days? We I first bought it a few years ago - nearly everyone waved. I wave at each one I see as it goes passed and I would say 99% ignore me! Anyone else noticed this? Mook
Try flashing instead. Used to work for me. Mini drivers do it, as do R32 drivers - well, most of them anyway...

mulkbear
So thats why when i am on road tests in a Beetle people flash there lights and wave at me, i thought it was my driving style. I wave at people in Chav cars but with two fingers
shao_khan
Beetle owners are pretty good in general - except round me where they are all owned by VW Uk and they are an ignorant bunch of sobs who never wave.
bugboy
Im getting my windows blacked out on my Beetle - does anyone think that would look Chavish? Im trying to make it stand out without having to spend hundreds of £!! If a mondeo goes past swearing at me then I will know my answer I guess!! shao_khan
I think tinting is getting a bit old now (although if you go to Pentagon and mention Tyresmoke you should be good for some discount) but the Beetle rear screen can be a bit of a pain as it curves two directions (side to side and up / down). I have been looking around to see if someone can tint windows to match my oakley sunglasses - now that could be cool
