Chav Posted February 8, 2006 Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 Hi chaps, Where's the mic on an A4/S4 cab with the bluetooth prep? ...Guess it's same place as A4/S4 saloon with the BT prep too... who's got one - can people hear you clearly on the other end? etc.. Voice seems very quiet - can you adjust the microphone level etc. Also, there's a bracket in the armrest too (not sure why?) ... do you get better sound quality if you buy a phone holder for the bracket and put the phone in there instead? In the Avant, it is built into the roof light cluster, but as i dont have a cab, i dont know if this is the case!? I imagin it would be..... Voice is quiet to the person that's not in the car. In the car, the other person is nice and loud through the car speakers. Was wondering if there's a mic setting somewhere? Soapsuds Posted February 8, 2006 Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 i dont have the OEM Audi BT interface, so i am unsure of the mic setting. There might be something either in the Stereo menu (main menu) or potentially adjustable via VAG-COM. The mic on the saloon / avant is in the light cluster that comes on when you open the door. Is this in the same place on your cab?? I.e Roof (roof pillar in your case!) mounted - the one where people like me are fitting the ambient LED's??? If it is, the MIC is placed inside this, positioned behind the small 'grill' on the drivers side of the light cluster. PM CraigyB to see if he know of a VAG-COM option for sensitivity. [/ QUOTE ] The websites aren't totally clear about the location of the mic gain setting - some say it's adaptation channel 131, some it's adaptation channel 134 - of address 77 the BT module.
