Ian_C
Mobil 1. Molten metal is poured out and forms into cars. These then race along a track through what looks like a metal works, Terminator II style. The cars get picked off one by one: The track passes underneath engine pistons which squash one, and through a fan which slices another. Another car crashes in a tunnel iirc and leaves the winner. Very old advert - 94 ish. Had a quick google but no luck - anyone remember it!? Ian
Mollox
I'm sure your recollection is 100% Ian. Can't you pull it off of your inbuilt USB port (the one in your elbow) and do a neural upload Ian?

mccombie_5
Oh, the ad for the Pug 406,IIRC, when the guy runs out infront of the bus to push the little girl out of the way, and stuff like that. All to the sound of "Search for the Hero".
Ian_C
The 406 was launched in circa summer 1996 on the N, and I'm pretty sure the 'Hero' advert was the launch advert too. If you are 16 now, that would have made you 6.... Ian

Ian_C
Yeah but my point is that even I don't remember 1988 car adverts - the year I was 6. As said, I find it hard to believe anything that gets written by Mc*. Ian

mccombie_5
I was born May 1989. As for the advert, well how else would I be able to remember it? I can remember "spotting" new N-Reg cars on the day they came out, driving along the A1. I also remember the part at the end of the advert, when you were at a driver's perspective moving around corners and it zoomed out to be the leg of the little Pug cat thing. mccombie_5
Was there a one where a Red Mercedes E-Class drove into a car wash, and a Red Mercedes A-Class drove out? Cant remember the catchline to that one
