Hi Guys!

Had a nice weekend? I surely did! My boss lented me his TT:

TTR.JPG

It's a '02 TTR 225 chipped to 275, 19" wheels and a adjustable H&R suspension set. This all has been done by Digi-Tec. He lented me the car because I helped him with a movement and the car had some troubles and asked me if I could have a look.

Now it seems that digi-tec has made some very stupid mistakes. First of all the cruise control didn't work anymore, went to Audi they fixed it in a couple of minutes. They told me that Digi-Tec didn't activate the CC after the ECU software upgrade.

The car also made a squeking sound when turning the wheels when standing still, or driving slow. Car has been back to Digi-Tec for 2 times but couldn't find the problem. This weekend I took of a front wheel, dismountend the suspension kit and saw that the ballbearing at the top of the suspension was gone !!! This declares the squeking sound, the springs couldn't rotate easily. Does anyone of you guys know if this ballbearing is included in a complete H&R coilover set or do you need to use the OEM bearing?

Cause this bearing was gone, the stability of the front wheels is very bad and i even think it has causes the damage as seen on the pic below:

Can you believe that DIGI-TEC does something like this?!? Always thought that Digi-Tec was one of the better Tuners.... fekr.giffekr.gif

Philippe,

I suggest you ask your boss to lend you his car again once he's got it fixed grin.gif

It doesn't sound too good about Digi-Tec, but I've never heard anything good or bad about them, and have never really classed them as anything but another tuner...

What about the Ring meet Philippe?? Are you up for it?

Hi Phillipe, ur boss is a lucky that he has you to sort out his car for him, no doubt he will be very grateful if u get it fixed for him.

I have the H&R coilover susoension on my S3 and the bearing that u mentioned does NOT come with the kit. U have to use the original one or buy a new one. If u use the old one the fitter has to be very careful when refitting it to the new suspension coz it can damaged very easily due to incorrect torque settings for the bearing.

They are easily purchased from Audi at about £30 each, its just the fitting that is going to be involved again.

Cheers

Mohsin
