CarMad
You will find some of the car snobs on here swear by Megs or Zymol. But if your waxing and looking after your car that will do for me.
1ndy
I would agree, was expecting to get flamed. BTW did anyone see fifth gear? http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/tm_ob...-name_page.html did anyone see fifth gear?
Paddy_Driver
You get what you pay for! A few months back some fairy in a bucket would have done the trick and have done the Turtle Wax thing in years gone by but now having done my research and tested different products I have realised that there is a difference in the basic "joe public" products and the better ones from Meguiars and AG - they just produce a better overall result. Used the Meg's "Hot Rim's" on my GTI 18's on Sunday evening - what a result! Coat of NXT wax afterwards and they are gleaming. Paddy
Sponge
My dad gets a caravan magazine that did a product test of various waxes from Turtle, AG, Megs, etc. The TW came out top, narrowly pipping Megs to the post.
CarMad
Everyone thinks megs is the best. Have a read of this Wax comparison review. I have got some Zaino now and I have to say its stunning. It beads and protects for a very long time. NXT doesn't last a quarter of the time Zaino does in my mini test.
Sponge
[ QUOTE ] Everyone thinks megs is the best. [/ QUOTE ] No they don't! Like I said, Caravan owners don't!
CarMad
Oo... yep your right. Is it all caravan owners though ? Or just ones with go faster stripes.
Roy32
Have to agree with CarMad Zaino's is the best sealant you can get, out performs megs gold class by a mile.

WHIZZER
there are lots of great products out there , including Megs, Pinnacle, Poorboys, Zanio, 1z, Clearkote, etc etc that are give great results on different types of paint .
Paddy_Driver
Thanks Roy, always good to have another set of products to try out and another site to buy from Agreed WHIZZER - but I am kinda new to "really" looking after the car and are willing to try whatever I think might do a good job. Have a crate full of Meg's and AG stuff and the Zaino seems like another one to try. The Pinnacle etc sounds great but impressions I get it does not last long, maybe later in summer I will try it. Presently we are getting some nice weather here in Ireland so I can get to enjoy my few hours work for a few days sometimes before the dirty brown rain drops all over it (Lots of construction going on in this country so lots of dirt in the rain Regards Paddy
