Hi chaps!

Not been around for a while as busy with work and life etc...!

Hope you're all ok! 169144-ok.gif

I've noticed a few times recently when in a hurry in my cab, that the revs seems to drop then pick up again. Only happens under max. acceleration for a few seconds after starting up. Then seems to be fine.

e.g. Full throttle from 5mph, and around 50-60mph revs drops a couple of K for a couple of seconds then seems to pick up again.

Happens in D and S mode, but not as much in tip mode.

Is this the CVT chain slipping or something?

Done about 50K and not due for next service for 6K miles or so yet I think.

I have had this a couple of times recently, despite having a new CVT at 14k. I think it is a quirk of the gear box, ie it can get confused if you do something unexpected. For example , releasing the brake pedal too early after engaging drive or reverse mode etc. I guess you need a certain amount of time for the CVT chain to re-position itself.

I don't think it is a major problem, and I won't have to worry about it for much longer anyway. It will be interesting going back to a tiptronic after having the CVT for three years.
