watteee
i have the dark grey bits at the bottom of my 2001 B6,im going to replace the bumpers but what do you all think i should put on.S4 bumpers and sills or something else, also is it just the bottom bit of the bumpers that come off(the grey bit) or the whole bumper. I see some really nice A4`s going around standard but with really nice bumpers on them and i dont know the models of them, there not S4`s but still look awesome.Any ideas or pictures i can compare before committing.cheers in advance
DanG
Its the GMBH Sport kit that was available in 2004 just before they brough out the S-Line versions. Its also available for the B6 as a retro fit...... but might be pricey....

techieboy
The GMBH kit is probably the best (check out Lynas's gallery as he's just fitted one and it looks great). The only other non-OEM kit that ever looked good to me was from Caractere Caractere web site and I was even going to buy it in Holland and collect it (worked out much cheaper) but fell out of love with my B6 and bought a new B7 instead. shark_90
Lynas hasn't fitted the GmbH kit - he's fitted the Votex kit. The GmbH one is the kit fitted to my car
Nelson_R32
...and the GMBH kit is exactly the same as the S-line kit (Why does it always sound like a Python Sketch when we talk about bodykits! )
DanG
Shark, did you fit it yourself???
J_C
No, I got it fitted in late 2004 shortly after buying the car (which shark bought from me earlier this year). I remember seeing an A4 Sport with the kit in a car park near where I work, and that was it - I had to have it!
DanG
Ah. Was it pricey to fit?
J_C
Yes, fairly - but it was worth it. If you PM shark he's still got the original receipts (I can't remember the total cost off the top of my head). Although I got a fairly good discount on the parts from the dealer, I would've used vagparts had I known about them at the time. Definitely the way forward. MikeA2B
I had grey two tone bumpers and thought about fitting the GMBH kit, but then I found a full S4 front bumper with all the grilles, fogs, inner cross member and washers / pipes for £200 on ebay in Germany, although the postage cost fifty quid. All in I think it cost £700 ish for all the bumpers, door flairs, and paint- just don't tell the missus The back bumper was harder to find but then again I have seen a few on ebay.
