nhs
I suspect the same people who like the OEM look so want to disguise the non-standard wheel nuts Those with this behavioural preference may also spend many hours each week making sure their car is clean and spick and span - polished till it gleams and the red brake blocks look like new
RedRobin
Each to their own of course, but, to me, it would be taking the OEM-look too far. I clean my car only when it looks dirty and the weather allows.
mikemod
As a sad person who likes the OEM look , You can take the wheel nut cover 1K0 601 173A and remove every other tab and it fits the McGuard perfectly !!
winrya
As above really, i just want it to look as oem as possible. I remember the days of cars with red and yellow covers over the nuts. Thanks
Paddy_Driver
You are likely better off leaving the McGard exposed cause then the scum might just walk on by instead of going at your wheels only to then realise that the McGard's are there and they are not going to the get the wheels off - having gone this far they night decide to give your car a good boot or key just in spite for spoiling their prize. Also... don't leave your McGard key in the obvious place cause there have been reports of them opening boots to get the key and then wheels... All said, if someone is determined enough then they might just succeed - makes my blood boil even talking about Scum Wan**rs Paddy

silentandy
I agree with Paddy & TP etc in that if you are going to have these fitted, you may as well leave them on view as a deterrent. By the way, what torque should the bolts be put on at?
petsy
[ QUOTE ] By the way, what torque should the bolts be put on at? [/ QUOTE ] good question as when tightening mine the key slipped and damaged its interface. 18 euros for a replacement...
TP27
General consensus is at least 110 Nm but handbook recommends 120 Nm, which is tight enough !!
SL26UK
These McGards are they easy to fitted? and what other tools would u need beside a torque wrench ? Sorry don't know much about cars expect driving them.
RedRobin
You only need a torque wrench with Nm settings and a 17mm extension socket as pictured in my pic above.

nhs
I do like the OEM look mikemod - it's very minimalist and you can still work out which is your McGards
