Bit of a Clunk

I Have had my MK5 R32 for a week on Thursday, great car and loving it cool.gif

One thing I have noticed is that at low speeds (estate driving) there is a clunking sound from the transmission when I change from second to third, almost like it is tacking up some sort of slack/play in the drive train.

Has anyone else had this and is it something to worry about??

Cheers

Carl

I have experienced this. Seems the engine wants more Revs before the change up, almost a termporary power loss as you come off the clutch. Solution seems to be that you should drive the R harder !!! 169144-ok.gif

Nothing to worry about. Only happens in low gears and speed and has been mentioned in another thread before. All Mk5 R's are like this, its not a problem but something to do with clutch shunt on engagement/disengagement with the twisting from the torque mounts. nay problemo. smirk.gif
