Larder Posted May 10, 2006 Report Share Posted May 10, 2006 I Have had my MK5 R32 for a week on Thursday, great car and loving it One thing I have noticed is that at low speeds (estate driving) there is a clunking sound from the transmission when I change from second to third, almost like it is tacking up some sort of slack/play in the drive train. TP27 Posted May 11, 2006 Report Share Posted May 11, 2006 I have experienced this. Seems the engine wants more Revs before the change up, almost a termporary power loss as you come off the clutch. All Mk5 R's are like this, its not a problem but something to do with clutch shunt on engagement/disengagement with the twisting from the torque mounts. nay problemo.
