bazza_g
Calling all Tyresmokers we need your help Last week some items went missing from our office - laptops/projectors etc and we realised we had been burgled - on checking the CCTV we can see this car arrive and leave a couple of times each time two occupants getting out and returning carrying items, our items! Please can you take a look at the pics and see if you can identify the car from the blurry CCTV images? Any assistance is greatly appreciated
s4_sat
looks like a grey e46 3 series coupe to me. low spec as it has small alloys and no body styling. fairly early model as it has the pre facelift headlights. apologies if i'm completely wrong and leading you round the houses. hope you get the buggers and give a good seeing too with a couple of cricket bats. tainted_love
sorry to hear that bazza i think its a bmw e36 series from 91 to 98. also looks like a 4 door hope it helps
Simonl
Looks like an old 3 series saloon. White indicator lenses hint that it might be a later facelift model too (possibly P or R reg) I think the colour is cosmos blue.
djcool
My first thought was 3-Series too...
bazza_g
Cheers for all your inputs so far We thought E36 3 series in the office but possibly a 'compact' ? In some shots it looks quite short ?
cerbera
Bazz - you have PM buddy. Just tried to call you. JT
garcon magnifique
Almost certainly a 3 series. From the top and middle pics on the left I'd have said E46 saloon, but might well be the older model. Possibly an SE if that's chrome trim round the doors. Torino101
My first instinct was an E46 Coupe, but the more I look at the bottom left pic, the rear quarter is E36 Compact.

NewNiceMrMe
Bazza, it's an E46 3 series Saloon - I'm 100% sure about that. They look quite short in saloon style (same as my wifes) and the colour of the car is either Silver Grey or Orient Green (a rare light metallic). In terms of what year, well it depends on how much of the front valance you can make out. If it has rounded driving lamps embedded in the valance, then it's a late model. My guess from the pictures is a X/Y plated E46 3-series Saloon in SE trim. That would also tie in with the availability of the colours I mention above. Chav
[ QUOTE ] Bazza, it's an E46 3 series Saloon - I'm 100% sure about that. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. The wheels must be 16/17" and it doesn't have an M-tech kit (I think)
garcon magnifique
Do I win a prize? Seriously, bazza - I think MrMe's right. Hope this helps in nailing them.
mccombie_5
For what it's worth (MrMe established this) it looks like an E46 3 to me also.

Ian_C
[ QUOTE ] Please can you take a look at the pics and see if you can identify the car from the blurry CCTV images? [/ QUOTE ] Thought this was some kind of competition at first before I read the post fully. Excuse my geekness, how can that be anything other than an E46 prefacelift? Base spec 316, 318 or 320d - the prefacelift four pot models - due to the wheel trims. Steel grey blue paint. The horizontally sliced prefacelift front under-bumper design is clearly visible reflecting the light on the top to left shots. Looks like a saloon to me, and the fact that under-bumper arrangement was never used on the coupe confirms this. MrMe - do BMW call it steel blue or steel grey? Couldn't find a prefacelift in steel with the trims on google or autotrader, hence this orient facelift will have to do. Sorry!
