stevebower
Whizzing round Wilmslow on Friday, lovely new Porker 4S. It was me! IT WAS ME! Test drive only, but what a blast! Ahem. Back to normal now. Thanks for the indulgence. Definitely on the list for the future fleet.
garcon magnifique
When you're getting closer to buying, have a go in a Carrera 2S too - definitely different to the 4, and arguably better. According to those that have driven both (and a Porsche Tech I know).
stevebower
Not sure yet when - or what the budget would be so it might be used, which could put it back a series. Confusing model line-up for an novice though, at first.
garcon magnifique
Just don't buy a 996. You'll always wish you'd got a 997. If you can't afford a 997, wait until you can! (That's what I'm doing - though for me the wait could be quite a while... ).
stevebower
Our colleagues on the Porsche forum seem to like the 993 - what is special about that?
garcon magnifique
To a 911 anorak the 993 is the last real 911, being the last of the air-cooled cars. Brilliant car, but hugely dated inside. I'd choose a nice 993 over an ordinary 996 anytime, but probably not as an only car.
Ian_C
An 'ordinary 996' would do me just fine. Ian
