Booster
What a name for a motorbike! I have just been phoned by a customer of mine asking me to finance one of these for him. I thought he was taking the p1ss with the name! Once we'd established that was its real name he told me the price: £20,000 . That is one expensive bike! Its got a 1700cc engine. Did a quick google for a pic. Two wheels bad four wheels good IMO but each to their own.
RedRobin
A good friend of mine works at Harley's factory in York, Pennsylvania. He gave me a factory tour when I was last over there . If I had a motorbike it would deffo be a Harley!
jimdiesel
One of my clients was a Dutch guy who worked for Shell. When he was seconded to ARAMCO in Saudi, he rode an identical bike in blue with the open screaming eagle pipes. Marcel is 6'6'' with a huge tash, and really looks the part. When the trouble with afew bombings was taking place afew years ago, I rang him to check he was OK. He said' Oh yes im keeping a low profile, I just ride round on my Harley'. Dont you just love the Dutch.
dazdot
That's very nice. This one is similar to my brothers bike.
Jon
The Screaming Eagle Fatboy is a 2006 ltd edition and is a seriously nice bike, i'm taking one out in the next couple of weeks. £20k on a custom Harley is not that much to be honest. The second pic down is a Harley Davidson V-Rod VRSCA, they look fantastic but i was gutted when i test rode one, fast in a straight line (faster than an R1!!) but you ground out the footpegs even at low speed cornering, not to mention the miniscule fuel tank (under the seat, what looks like the fuel tank is the air filter cover) about 85 miles between fill ups. Just didn't feel right to me and definitely NOT worth £12k IMO. I'm planning a Fatboy for next year with the noisiest bstard pipes i can find
Booster
He's just got rid of a V-Rod VRSCA and he spent 5k modding it in 6 months ! Then this one took his fancy!
theduisbergkid
Does nothing for me. As an archetypal Volvo driver, I just enjoy knocking bikers off (JOKE, JOKE, JOKE !!!!)

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not surprised to be honest, the V-Rod looks the nuts but it's like spending your life wanting to get a 911 and finding out it drives like a 2CV. Please tell me he has gone for the yellow and blue combo on the fatboy!!!
Jon
I have to add, could get the VRSCA where i want it but it would cost £20k over the cost of the bike, 330 back end, custom paint, new running boards, handlebars and Bub NOISY PIPES Harleys are like a lifestyle, not dissimilar to TVR, not the sensible choice but you just have to do it

fjfr
Its funny how tastes are totally differant. That Harley doesn't do anything at all for me - infact if you gave me one, I'd probably not even ride it, but this makes me weak at the knees: And I'm sure you hate it! RedRobin
That aprilia is a beaut! . Harleys are just a different style of riding and performance....Long live both!!
Calm Chris
Harleys are the Volvo, of the biking world. Brother in law is a Harley man, £10k fat boy and (so far) about £5k of kit on it. Uses it for cruises, but has a Honda VF750 and a Yamaha FZ1100 for getting to track meetings. He does Marshalling for Derby phoenix, a 3000+ bike racing club.
