v6tas Posted May 16, 2006 Report Share Posted May 16, 2006 They keep on saying that speed cameras are not for revenue generating so why have they just put up 13 speed cameras on the A1079 HULL TO YORK road this month (to be active from June). It is fitted with something that ensures there is no way that they can currently nick me! This particular accessory, also enables avoidance of the congestion charge, parking tickets, and your only worry is being clamped, but even the clampers get quite deterred by this particular accessory so I am informed. And before you mention it, it is not a family size bag of the beige bolied ones for bribery purposes! A further six speed cameras have been put up along a five-mile stretch from Arras Hill to Shiptonthorpe, including the Market Weighton bypass. I had seen the Midlands meet thread and ive put it down as a "definite maybe". Mine are fitted to my works vehicle, but I always observe the legal speed limit , while driving it, as well as observing all parking limitations while also adhering strictly to all the guidelines, contained within the current Highway code........... Oh yes and the government installs those speed camera things for "our own safety".
