Buying an S4 (2.7 Bi Turbo)

Hi,

I'm seriously considering the somewhat mad idea of swapping my Volvo S60 for an Audi S4 2.7 Bi-Turbo around the '98/99 vintage with about 60-90k on the clock.

I'm after some information about servicing costs and general hints and tips about buying one.

I've done a search but it didn't throw up anything much. Any Audi S4 specialist sites or someone could help / point me in the right directon of where to look?

Any major issues with these cars?

i have the 2.8 V6 Quattro and i know they are very different cars but i would also like to know more about the era of these cars.

so a search as i know i read alot about these recently. i know the turbos are very important to be aware of problems with as they are an engine out job for repairs so massive expense if thats the case... well worth letting the owner drive you to see how well they have respected the car...

Save a few extra pennies and get a V8 with all the software updates, more reliable and a better chassis.

I've been doing some searching on Google and looking at a few other Audi forums and it would seem whilst the Bi-Turbo is a fantastic car with massive upgrade potential, there are a number of possible very expensive problems/repairs/maintenace. (Removing the engine to get to one of the turbos?! Ouch!)

Hmm. I'm tempted still....
