walter_the_great
I enquired about an Mk5 R32 a few days ago, and was wondering does anybody recommend anyone that will insure me on one, i am 21(22 oct) licence held for 4 years, with 4 years no claim bonus, and one non-fault accident about 3 years ago. archway
Try Adrian Flux - just got my renewal for £447, £100 less than anywhere else (but I am ancient with full NCB etc.....).
saf
try elephant mate, im insured through them on my s3, nobody else would insure me as im only
pomme
i wouldnt go with elephant or admiral. Simply becuase if you have any additional extras, ie sat nav, or mods. they in the case of a write off will only replace it with a standard mkv r, instead of one which has the additional options which you have paid to cover????????? now thats just c**p if you ask me. And because of this i paid more for my insurance and went with adrian flux.
VRO6MO
try the RAC, it cost me about £900 - being 25 years old, 3 years no claims and licence and the 'one' speeding fine.

Soulboy
Have you tried confused.com? It doesnt cover all the insurers, but its worth a go. Enter your details once and it will trawl them round various insurers and mail you the results. http://www.confused.com/ It has had quite a few success's on TSN. You say above you are with Admiral paying 640 at 37 Yr old. I to am with Admiral and only pay 740. I am 23 with 2 years No claims. It seems a bargain to me for my age on a Group 18 Car. Yet when I did a Quote with RAC it was around the 1.5 k region. Crazy.

S3Bangs
Another idea when doing insurance quotes, if your other half has a license just put her name on the policy as an additional driver. Even if she's never going to drive it. You'll be suprised to see in most cases, it mostly always brings it down for some strange reason.

hixster
Mine went up about 20 quid when I did this. 540 from Admiral, 34 with 3yrs no claims on my new R32, went up 120 from my old V6 4 Mo , Admiral were by far the cheapest of any quotes I had from confused.com
Oatz
Well my other half is older than I but costs it costs an extra £13?? With me on her's it reduces it... Bit wierd as full NCB and a clean license etc etc
ChrisBuer
Yep forgot to add that all of my quotes posted were with my other half on the policy. Some places it brought it down as much as £100! I tried the RAC last night and was quoted around the £850 mark, so I won't be going with them. Not sure who else to try really? I reckon £540 quid isn't paid considering I'm 27 and it's group 18, but I'll still keep looking about. If anyone has any other insurance companies to try, then please post them up here. It's a good resource for anyone on this forum Cheers, Chris.

chrisgold
34 years old.....£330 with milltek declared and wife on policy ..... again with Admiral. My renewal price with elephant was £380 so switched to Admiral. Always do your quotes online as they are always cheaper with these and Bell Direct. Do you think they jsut plucked a figure from thin air? 12 months for me - full no claims, protected, no convictions and 35 - £500!!!! Aren't postcodes wonderful things!!!
