Nelson_R32
OK, so I went to Normandy a couple of weeks ago and the floor is covered in sand I've tried to hoovers the corners of the mats/sides of the seat runners but I can't get in there Any tips/tools of the trade people use to get rid if this? davemr32
Had the same problem with the other halfs new car and the best way is to tape a bit of hosepipe to the nosel works a treat.

badgera
[ QUOTE ] unbolt and remove the seat for a thorough job, shouldn't take long! [/ QUOTE ] Carefull! on most new(ish) motors there's airbags and all sorts of things that connect to the seat (like seatbelt tensioners) could get in more trouble than it's worth. Other than the hosepipe option, try getting a small vac designed for cleaning keyboards and PC's they have very small nozels. Don't forget using a brush too, that can often help get rid. SPLiiX
Unused paint brushes are the best!! I use a 2" paint brush for the dash especially the air vents. I hate the glossy, shinny look on dashboards. A big hand brush for the boot!! Paint brushes all the way!
UBM
Good idea SPLiix, I'll give the brushes a try!
Tarmac_Terrorist
I always keep one of those sticky paper rolls that you just tear off a bit when it's spent (the sort you buy from the dry cleaners for getting fluff of clothes). I tear a piece off about 12cm and you can slot it down narrow edges and gaps easily. It's really sticky stuff - I've used it for years
P_G
JCB cordless vac with its armoury of accesories has noty let me down yet, even with cement dust in hard to reach corners. Otherwise Gaffer tape wrapped around a thin piece of wood (sticky side out)always did the trick before the cordless vac revolution.
