Decked Posted June 2, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 It did about 3 turns and she shut it off, to be honest that's what it does to mine, it's as if it shuts the fuelling off. stevie_d Posted June 2, 2006 Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 From reading the Revo site it appears that it should just electronically cut the connection between the fly-by-wire throttle and the ECU. Decked Posted June 2, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 If that's the case it doesn't work, and it doesn't work on the S3, 1.8 turbo Gti, R32 and Mk5 GTi. I'll speak to Revo and see what they say but if you've set it you'll be aware that it's been set and it's not something your going to forget about removing regularly. I've never forgotten and the car hasn't been knicked so I'm not that bothered (all I know is that it does prevent the car being stolen, even if they have the keys) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's totally unacceptable to have an anti-theft device which potentially damages your car if a theft is attempted, or if you even forget it's on! This deffo needs bringing to their attention. Revokev1 Posted June 2, 2006 Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 There's no issue at all... with anti-theft enabled there is no fueling or load being requested from the ECU thus the car won't idle or run correctly. Im sure i have seen this reasent too maybe on Yahoo video but it may have been at a mates place when watching old topgears on his video 2000 old recordings. [/ QUOTE ] Is that the one where she was about to drop the keys down the drain, but then takes the car instead VW have always made good ads IMO. I loved the last anniversary advert where the guys driving and the streets are set in the 70's, then 80's etc, and the car changes accordingly, before ending up as the 25th anniversary model.
