drmotorsport
no never heard of them. for an 'audi specialist' there's a lot of 'others'. You're not getting rid of the 8 eh Sneaky? Paul Bailey in Bicknacre is the only independant specialist I know of around these parts (has 'technicians' from Nigel Grogan Audi).

tjet
I've looked at a few of their cars over the past couple of years, never bought one though. I remember they had a nice TT once, but I think I remember thinking it was a bit pricey comparred to the dealers....
drmotorsport
Not had any contact with them for 3 years now, but bought my last A8 off me and Paul owned an S8. Up till now i've only used Nigel Grogan/Chelmsford Audi or done things myself. The only other specialist in terms of servicing that I can think of is a place (can't remember the name) on Aviation Way in Southend. I've heard them recommended elsewhere. [/ QUOTE ] I had a chat with this guy today. He made exactly the right noises, but I bet he's well practised at the gab with disgruntled Audi drivers. I emailed Ska's VagCom data. He suggested that I clean the TB and check the cable on the throttle. Plus reset the throttle. He quoted me 1.5hrs when I pushed him for a quote for the work. £58 per hour sounds better than the £93.50 from Bexley Audi. I wonder if it is value for money... Who can give me a definite throttle setting procedure? (1996 AEW 3.7Ltr engine)
SneakyMcC
I lit the dash for 30secs, slowly pushed the gas pedal to the floor, I think I heard a click @ the TB and slowly let the pedal out leaving the ignition on for 30secs. Will that have done it?
