No budget - Needs to be in Newquay as I spent every summer there for many years and want to show the new Mrs all my old old haunts, inc Fistral, Sailors bar etc, and how to fall off a surf board. I did consider The Headland, but someone told me they had heard of a wedding there and all the wedding party had food poisoning.

Hi mate,

I have just booked a week in Newquay for the Boardmasters in the 1st week in August.

We really struggled to find somewhere but eventually got accomodation via this site :

Newquay Accomodation

It is all self catering on there though but we found a place overlooking Fistral and it has all the mod cons.

Hope you find somewhere smile.gif

Thanks for the suggestions folks - appreciated. Last place I had was a large apartment in a complex called " Atlantic Waves " which overlooked Fistral. Don't think they're renting out any more. Not been down there for 4 years now, cant wait to return.

Quite familiar with Watergate Bay - used to go skateboarding there many years ago ! beerchug.gif

Has anyone stayed in the cottages for the Headland Hotel on Fistral head?

Going away for a few days with g/f early November and thought they look quite good.

Delayed this jaunt till March 2007 - but have booked one with a decent view - so if any of you Newquay wallers want to meet up for a sherbert around 20th March, let me know?

Using it as a bit of a reccy as still very serious about moving down there. cool.gif
