silentandy
My DBP GTI is not coming up to 5000 miles. I've been noticing a few blemishes and scratches on the paintwork so I thought it was about time she was treating to the full works. I believe the following is testament to the fact I have Meguiars Compulsive Disorder (MCD)! Yesterday I did the following: <ul type="square"> [*]Wash with Meg's NXT car wash [*]Clay bar [*]Wash again with NXT car wash [*]Meg's Stage 1 paint cleaner [*]Meg's Stage 2 polish [*]Pinnacle Souveran Wax. I also used NXT tech wax on the wheels, high gloss tyre gel, Autosol on the exhausts and trim detailer on the plastic and rubber bits. The results were amazing, it really shows off deep blue pearl to the full affect. There's a silky mirror glass like smooth finish with a permanent wet look. My neighbours must think I'm mad since I must have been outside for 6 hours+ doing this! Here are some pictures I took last night and today. It's really difficult to capture the full effect and show how stunning it really is (even if I do say so myself). Close ups: I plead guilty to having MCD. Timski
Good buffing, AndyW. You should take her down to the petrol station tonight to fill her up and watch her gleam under the forecourt lights. That's what I do - it takes the sting out of paying for the petrol! eldiablorubino
oh well, still looks GAWJUS! have to say i love Blue Graphite in the metal, in fact it's the one thing that has been haunting me about my order... went for Diamond Black in the end but keep thinking the Blue Graphite would be rarer and a bit different
Muppetboy
Black is the most common imo at least where I live but the GTI looks great in all colours apart from that dodgy ink blue someone posted a while back... oh and Red's modified Pink one
