neilp
Not sure if this is the correct board but feel free to move it somewhere more suitable. A once in a lifetime oppurtunity has arisen to buy Audi's prototype race development 'mule' for the new R10 TDi engine, if only I had £1600 spare...... Audi R10 development 'mule' for sale As it says in the ad, absolutely unique
RedRobin
Why is it badged up "RS" and also a S4 plate?
Rustynuts
He's giving a lot away about how the car's been tuned, eh? [ QUOTE ] Q. The engine is race tuned, what has been upgraded? A. he would not give me any information on work done to the engine. all i can tell you is that it is very quick [/ QUOTE ]
cruiser647
So, race tuned engine, but presumabley the brakes are standard as he doesn't mention them............ that'll be a good drive then
RedRobin
My gut feelings are that this doesn't sound genuine. You don't own a "race tuned" car without knowing something about it. Even I, who am a bit of a 'girl' when it comes to such things, would know some detail [with profuse apologies to the fairer sex].
activa
Interesting, when people ask him about the mods to the engine,he avoids the subject and tells them how it's been serviced regularly and had the cambelt changed. Now surely it couldn't just be a 90 brake tdi with a tuning box fitted, that HE thinks is really quick!
patently
Shall we all arrange to view the car at the same time ... one of us could perhaps demonstrate the real meaning of "quick"?
NeilB
I can just see Audi giving away one of thier development engines of thier brand new technology...
FuntimeFrankie
A race tuned engine with 170k miles on it
NewNiceMrMe
"Race tuned, very fast car" I think he's referring to the TDi badge that has been slapped onto the front NS bumper. Cars like this never fail to astonish me. What planet do these people live on? Do they seriously believe their cars are 'very fast'? Do they even begin to contemplate that someone might even look at their vehicles without thinking 'Pr1ck?'. Are they just born differently!? neilp
and as I'd had a few beers last night I just had to ask the question: Q: As the cars badged as an 'RS' do you know if the tuning work was carried out by quattro gmbh in Germany like the current RS4? A: the car is badged is an rs? the tuning work was done in the uk by the previous keeper who was a diesal fitter. the engine has had extra parts fitted. I assumed he'd realise I was taking the p1$$ but it looks like he checked the 'show question to others' instead
