My Dad's in the motor trade - he buys cars to order - and the two things he says are guaranteed to kill a car's interior are smoking and dogs. No matter how immaculate it is or how good its history is, once a car's been smoked in or carried dogs for any length of time the stink is nigh on impossible to completely get rid of, and as a resale prospect often the car becomes a non-starter as a result. However all the cars have had smokers and dogs in! I like to get as much use from a car as possible... Whether it's enjoying a cig, carting doggies about, or carrying a huge load of crap to the tip. ...and don't forget kids too! - you name it, they've spilt it!
