PANACEA
Hi all, My 2004 A4 1.8T 190 Q Sport seems very succeptible to cross-winds. Noticed it the other day when it was blowing quite hard but nothing more than my other cars have handled with no problems. Just wondered if I need to get anything ( suspension )looked at, or if the B6 A4 is just a bit sensitive to side winds ? Tyre pressure are fine and when the wind isn't too strong, it tracks straight and true, but as soon as it gets blowy, she seems to move around more than I would expect. Anyway, your thoughts would be appreciated.
Chav
Strange that - as Audis are heavy. Maybe it's pyschological - or did you previously drive an Elise? Could it be your tyres tramlining possibly?
PANACEA
It isn't in my head as 'she-who-must-be-obeyed' has commented on it as well, and it isn't tramlining as it doesn't do it on the same stretches of road when it isn't windy. I used to have a Capri ( many years ago ) which was notoriously 'iffy' in a cross-wind, and the Audi is almost as bad. Really weird.
TDiAvant
I’ve never had this problem with my B5 saloon or B7 Avant, get someone to look over the suspension just to make sure.
