I've completed COD3 on normal, and am about to go back and do it on veteran.

Have yet to try it online, but so far its just been like an expansion pack for COD2. frown.gif

I cant understand why there has been soo many fantastic online games on xbox/360 to take inspiration from, yet we still keep getting games with useless or no lobbys.

I'm well on my way with COD3 and like Snail, i haven't taken it online yet.

Must admit I'm a little dissapointed so far. The gameplay is good and the graphics stunning, but the fighting seems to be in smaller bits with more 'video' sections.

Overall, still a good game, but hasn't moved on much from COD2.

I'm about a 1/3rd of the way through on Hard 169144-ok.gif

Agree with what's been said as it's more like COD 2.5, but I guess that was the intention all along as Infinty Ward who did COD2 are working on COD4 which is due next year and which is the real sequel. Hopefully they will have some innovate ideas in the next version as well.

Having said that it is still a great game, the graphics have improved and it still sounds wonderful. The only think that really annoys me at the moment is that when you are loading a saved game you have to sit through all the opening cinematic scene relevant to that level. Fine the first time but you get sick of seeing it over and over again openfire.gif

Interesting!

How much disc space do you think they save by running it at a lower resolution?.. maybe they couldn't fit it all on one disc at the higher rate?

and to be honest the graphics are stunning.. i have no problems with that part of the game at all.

Well, the article says it was done to maintain good graphics at a high frame rate.

As GOW is a first party title, id imagine its running 720p at 60fps, and as its the best looking game available for the 360, id imagine COD3 is purely down to developers who dont know how to extract the most from the system yet.
