shao_khan
So i get the impression that the dealers wont give me a discount on one of these right now (unless someone knows different). Does anyone know how much room for manouver they have in their finance - is it worth ringing around several or wont this achieve much for the time involved? Soulboy
We couldn't get the dealers to move on price - so just shopped round for the best p/x on the girlfriends convertible.

m4ttm4son
From my experience, BMW don't budge much, if at all.

PeterS
That doesn't sound too bad, but will depend on the downpayment/term/mileage I guess Odd about the discounting as well; I know they didn't disount the previous one much, if at all, having paid full list myself in 2002 for a Cooper , but then I did have to wait 5 months for delivery. The guy I spoke to at the dealers yesterday seemed to think I'd get one in January if I wanted one, which is completely different to the situation at the launch 5 years ago Peter
ashleyadam
They did not discount first cooper s not a drop, I had one of first in uk had car for almost 12 months 9000 miles and sold for £700 more than I paid for car. I never had a car that ha held it's money like that mini - Unfortunately since then all down hill money down the drain!
SamD
Yup I had an 04 Cooper S, still the best car investment I have made, the years driving cost me tax, insurance, and fuel - sold it for the same price that I bought it for!
Busby
They have a policy on the Mini of not discounting which is one of the reasons the residuals are held up so well. However, what I was offered when I was looking at these were picks from the list of dealer fitted options without charge. I played Robert Stern in Worcester and a dealer in Essex against each other and ended up being offered £1k to spend.

shao_khan
Its high on the list - but it'll be the /fs co car that shes got to order some time soon. Had a drive and I was very impressed, considering previous I purchased a Clio 172 and Lupo GTi both in preference to the supercharged CS as I just didnt like it and it never felt quick to me.
