ashleyadam
We are holding out for PS3 my son agreed after european launch date put back. I will say we totally dismissed the WII but after seeing some of the adverts with the games recently looks likes a great machine and we have certainly been tempted to purchase one until PS3 launch. gizze
Personally I think you need both, they are so different, teh Wii is superb though. However getting either is not easy or cheap at the minute, Wii is selling for a lot now, one just finished at £525 on ebay. Think most people wrote it off and after seeing it have thought differently, and now everyone wants one. I am just grateful I bought mine yesterday, just wish I had a component cable, none anywhere, and I only have component and VGA on my main screen. cheechy
I preordered a Scart and Component from Amazon - I'm just waiting to see if they actually ship them now.....due to go out probably Monday now.
cheechy
Good 'ol Amazon. Preordered the cables on 14th November. The web site was still showing them being delivered by the 15th..... ...so I phoned them up and asked if I'd actually get them to be told that they had no idea when they'd be back in. I hate amazon but at the moment they are also advertising alternative cables (not Nintendo) at a slightly increased price. As I cant get them anywhere else then thats what I'll have to buy! Why didnt they tell me earlier that they had yet again over-subscribed the pre-orders? It doesnt make sense!
Sponge
I really can't understand why people pay over the odds for these consoles! I mean, just wait a few months, stroll into a shop, pay RRP (or lower) and then go home to play. Simple.
RacingRed
Well I just heard from my brother this week that he got a Wii and is playing Zelda on it. By the time PS3 is available for general release XBox 360 will definitely have a price drop, they're already selling premium systems online for less than 300 quid. And Halo3 will be just around the corner.
Sponge
A price drop in the 360 will make it appealing, but not enought to buy. I use my (chipped) Xbox 1 as a media centre and my PC to play games. The only console that comes close to tempting me is the Wii.
