DanG
Hi all, being a little bit behind the curve on technical stuff, I need someone to answer a question on the new PS3. Obviously the voltage issue aside, will a US PS3 work on a UK LCD tv through either HDMI or Componant (5 plug) leads? Before there have always been issues with NTSC v PAL and I had a converter for my old DVD player. Can someone with skills please help??? Thanks! gizze
The PS3 is multi voltage, so plug it straight into the UK mains. As long as you understand you will have to buy us or jap blu-ray films, and at some point some games may not be region free you will be fine. Any TV that has component or hdmi will display it no problem.
DanG
Superb thanks Gizze! I reckon that given the price difference and early release dates in both films and games the US will still be the place to buy going forward....... Cheers! gizze
I would always choose a US machine over a UK one. If you manage to find two let me know, they are $595 for the 60gig version, I will pay you $700 plus shipping bring your price down to $500. If you can be bothered, totally understand if you can't. Not sure if the stores are starting to get stock again out there??
