Ari
Having been pretty unimpressed with my venture into i-tunes world I'm gonna give that a miss from now on. But presumably if you have an ipod you can load it up with tunes from any source once they're on your PC? (Existing CD's, downloads from other music sites etc)? Mac
iTunes itself is a good solid product and TBH if you're going to use an IPOD, other than pissing about, it's the best way to do it. I would however question the use of the iTunes music store - that causes more grief than anything else. The DRM is a pain in the ass - they constantly modify it so things like the hym project are always behind the times. I.e. removing the DRM is a problem. You can burn out to CD then re-import I guess but the quality seems to suffer. My iTunes manages about 300Gb of music just fine. I just avoid using the iTunes music store and stick to 'clean' MP3 files.

Ari
I'm confused. What's i-tunes as opposed to i-tunes music store then?
Mac
iTunes is the player a whole. iTune Music Store is the online place you can buy music from. You can access iTunes music store via the iTunes player. You don't HAVE to, but you can.
Ari
Ah ok, didn't realise they were seperate things, I'll have to have another look.
eolair
if you really don't get on with itunes, backup your music from the player, and reset it with "disk mode" on. then you can just drag/drop your music. but you'll have to manually organize names/folders.
